My colleagues and I have exhausted our options for burger joints near the office. So today, we decided to spice it up a bit. We had Waves and Corners on the list, and only Waves was open. We swung by on the way to our other office at Nagoya Station.
The shop has a Hawaiian feel and nice atmosphere. Waves boasts using ”100% pure Kobe beef” and fresh local produce. Sounds good so far!
My colleague noticed a ”Bacon Egg Cheese Burger” on the menu, and three of us went for it. The burger had a sweet dressing on it. The patty was overcooked with way too much pepper. With a claim of high quality meat, the burger should be tender and flavorful. The best part of the burger was the reasonably fresh lettuce.
Waves offers a salad or fries with your burger. My fries were soggy potato wedges with uneven seasoning — should have gone with the salad. (If you look closely at the picture you can see how uneven it is.)
Another colleague went with an ”Avocado Burger” and was equally disappointed.
